Week Before Event

"Fluff" Baskets

When: anytime between Mar 16 and Mar 26
Where: Comfort of your own home

We give you auction items and a basket. You arrange the items to make the basket irresistible. You have three days to get the baskets back to us.

Volunteers needed: 4

Pack ‘N Wrap

When: : Mar 26 2009, 6:30pm - 8:30pm
Where: : Auction Room

Pack-up auction items into boxes to be ready for moving to the Hilton
Volunteers needed: 10

Assemble Bid Cards & Nametags

When: Mar 26 2009, 6:30pm - 9:30pm
Where: St. Cecilia Grade School Library

Matching up the bid number with the corresponding nametags
Volunteers needed: 2

Load / Unload auction items

When: Mar 27 2009, 12:00pm - 3:00pm
Where: Meet in Cultural Center lobby

Load silent auction boxes into a moving truck and unload them at the Hilton.
Volunteers needed: 15

Day of Event

Parking for volunteers::  There is parking behind the Hilton. The hotel is across from the Qwest Center. You can access the parking lot from 12th Street. Park in the back and walk into Hilton garage to front lobby entrance. Go up escalator and turn right. Any problems call Julie Swartz on her cell phone at 490-0980.

Auction Set-up

When: Mar 28 2009, 10:00am - 2:30pm
Where: Hilton Omaha

2 - 3 volunteers for each category to arrange auction items on tables
Volunteers Needed: 35

Decorations Set-up

When: Mar 28 2009 3:30pm
Where: Hilton Omaha

Arrange centerpieces on each table and student thank you cards at each place setting
Volunteers Needed: 6

Last-Minute Table Check

When: Mar 28 2009, 4:30pm - 5:30pm
Where: Hilton, Omaha

Walk around in ballroom and check table set-up to see if the number of chairs corresponds to table number
Volunteers Needed: 1

Security

When: Mar 28 2009, 3:00pm - 5:30pm

Keep an eye on auction items

During Event

If you work the event you will get complimentary parking, a bid number, and food. Check in at registration table to get your nametag and bid number.: 

Table Monitors

When: Mar 28 2009, 5:00pm - 9:15pm
Where: Hilton, Omaha

Monitor bid sheets at a table during the silent auction. At the end of the auction, flip bid sheets during table closing.

Runners

When: Mar 28 2009, 7:45pm - 8:30pm
Where: Hilton, Omaha

Help stuff envelopes and run envelopes out to tables
Volunteers Needed: 4

Wrap ‘N Release

When: Mar 28 2009, 7:15pm - 10:00pm
Where: Hilton Omaha

After table closings, you would put the auction items into bags and stable / tape bid sheet to the bag

Take Down Crew

When: Mar 28 2009 10:00pm - Mar 29 2009 12:00am
Where: Hilton Omaha

Take props, frames, signs, pens, unsold centerpieces, unsold auction items off auction tables, and put in holding room
